The quality of this Lee Oskar Harmonica is not by any means high-end, nor was it meant to be. This harmonica has smaller resonance chambers, so the sound is noticeably different than that of a more expensive one. This suggests that the company is trying to save on the metal used for the harmonica, which reduces the quality of the sound it produces. An unfortunate observation we made was that this harmonica does not have a long playing life because of some of the cheaper components. Three months of using the harmonica seems to be the average lifespan. After this time, the sound started to dull and it stops playing anything at all for some reeds. We also noticed that the harmonica feels like it is made from quality materials and assembled with care. We found this harmonica to be very stable despite its simple features because the size and structure ensures that it stays firm in their hands as they play.
The plastic comb included in this harmonica is very comfortable to use, making it an easy instrument to play. The sound it makes is very warm and vibrant. It is just the right level of punchiness that one would expect from a beginner’s harmonica.
